If you are on a Mac you may be required to update additional settings to allow your browser to share your screen. These details can be found here: How to Enable Screen Sharing on macOS (Catalina+)
Step 1 - Accept Screen Share Request
The moderator will click a button on their screen which will start by asking if you want to share your screen. Click the Share My Screen button to let the system know you want to share your screen.
Step 2 - Select what you want to share
After you say that you want to screen share, a window will appear asking you to select what you want to share. In the example below, you will see an example if you have two monitors. Here you need to select Screen 1 or Screen 2 then the Share button.
This may only show one screen and the screen is a mini-version of your actual computer screen but will be clickable. Once you have chosen what you want to show, you can click the Share button.
You will continue to look at whichever screen you chose to share. You will no longer be seeing the video feeds in the discussion but the discussion will continue in the background and the moderator will be able to watch and hear you as you share your screen.
If you do happen to look back at the discussion you will see a very small version of the screen you are sharing. This small screen will be a much larger screen for anyone else in the discussion with you. it is just small for you.
To stop sharing click the Stop Sharing button and you will be back in the video discussion area.
