Accessing, expanding, and collapsing your guide
Click the Guide button on the center toolbar to post questions and other materials from a preloaded guide. For instructions on how to load your guide click here: loading your guide
Clicking on a topic/heading will collapse or expand all the questions in that topic in order to post or hide them.
You can also expand or collapse lengthier questions by clicking on the three dots (…) associated with the question. Doing this will bring up the Post button needed to post the questions.
Clicking the Post button associated with any question in the guide will post that question into the Main Room of the discussion.
Posting text-based questions - Realtime Text vs Realtime Video
For Realtime Text, the Post button will show for every question.
For Realtime Video, the Post button only shows for Poll questions. All other questions have the Mark As Finished button associated with them.
You can notice the difference below:

The guide order does not need to be followed if it is found to not work for your discussion. A moderator can jump between questions and back if needed. Questions and media can also be re-posted as needed (with the exception of polling questions that have already received responses).
Additional questions can be typed into the entry box below the Main Room on an as needed basis as well.
Posting polling questions
Polling questions are posted by clicking on the Post button associated with the question in the Moderator Guide.
As soon as a polling question is posted and participants begin making their selections a results area will appear in the Moderators Guide where the moderator will be able to see the results from the poll questions in real time.
This is what the participants see when a poll question is posted:
Participants can now select an option and click on Send to submit their answer.
Once all the results are collected, the moderator can opt to click the Share Results button in order to share the results of the poll with the participants in the Media Library area. Once clicked, the Share Results button changes to a Stop Sharing button allowing you to close the results as needed.
Below is a screenshot of the participant view when the poll results are being shared by the moderator.
In the discussion area you will see the individual responses by participant as well as a View results in a new window link. The link will show the results in real time to observers or moderators who click it. Participants do not have access to this link. It is intended to be a way in which observers can see the results in real time as they do not have access to the Moderator Guide.
Posting media
If media questions have been set up as part of the guide, media can be shared from the questions by clicking the Share button.
For instructions on how to load media click here: Adding Media and Links
Alternatively, media can be chosen from the Media Library drop-down box above where questions are posted in the Moderator Guide Panel. Choose the media then click the Share button.
For moderators, posted media displays above the mod guide area. The moderators can click the button to make it larger.
Participants and observers see the media in a much larger window taking up about 2/3rds of the screen. Participants can continue to chat and answer additional questions.
Images and videos will automatically resize to fit the screen if they are larger. Links and PDFs open in a new window.
One a moderator is done showing the media they want to show they can stop sharing using the Stop Sharing button or click to show a new piece of media. When a moderator stops sharing any media opened in a new window, it closes that window as well.
