Peripherals
Most modern systems include built-in peripherals like webcams and microphones. In some cases, you may be required to supplement a system with external equipment.
Webcam
For activities that include video, a good quality webcam is required. We suggest using a webcam that is capable of at least 720p video.
Microphone
If a built-in microphone (in the computer system or external webcam you are using) is not sufficient, we suggest a USB headset that features a good quality mic. Even if the built-in mic is sufficient, you may want to consider upgrading your mic to provide greater sound isolation - especially if you are working in a noisy environment. It's important that you are heard loud and clear!
Note: We suggest using a wired headset. While there have been significant improvements with wireless technology, using a wired headset guarantees a consistent and reliable connection when it matters most.
Ethernet Adapter
We always recommend using a hard-wired internet connection whenever possible. If your system has a built-in network jack, it can be used to supply a stable connection to your machine. If you are using a newer laptop that has limited I/O, a USB Ethernet Adapter may be required in order to provide a hard-wired connection to your device.
