Providing Hardware Specifications

As a user, if you are requested to provide hardware specifications for the device that is being used to access itracks' software, this short guide will help. When presenting this information, a simple screenshot will suffice. 

Windows

Using Settings (Basic)

1. Open Settings
2. Click on System
3. Click on About
4. Find the Device specifications section to display the relevant system information

Using System Information (Advanced)

1. Open Start
2. Search for System Information and open the app
3. Click on System Summary (if not selected by default)
4. Click on the File menu
5. Click the Export option
6. Click Save

Completing these steps should produce a text file which can be attached to an email and sent to the itracks team member you are working with.

Mac

Choose Apple menu  > About This Mac. This opens an overview of your Mac, including your Mac model, processor, memory, serial number, and version of macOS. To see the greater detail provided by the System Information app, click the System Report button.

To open System Information directly, press and hold the Option key and choose Apple menu  > System Information.

To save a copy of your system report, choose File > Save.
