On the mobile app, participants are notified via push notification whenever any moderator or participant replies to their post. However, those using the browser on their computer or mobile devices are not automatically notified when responded to.
Moderator users can notify participants via email when responding/probing by selecting the Send Probe Email checkbox before they click the Post Reply button.
The option to send a probe email will not appear until text is typed into the textbox.
This Send Probe Email option is not integrated with the Make Private checkbox in any way. You can send a probe email without making it private and visa versa.
When the email is sent it looks something like this:
Hello Mary: The moderator has requested you return to Day 3 - Different Question Types - Genres to provide additional information. Thank you, we look forward to seeing you back in the group!
Username: participant@email.com
Project ID: 0020Q
Login Page: Registration and Login Page
The participants do not get the content of your probe but rather a note to come back in. The Topic and Question will appear in the body of the email as a link that will get the participant back to the post you made to them with a text box open to respond.
